   Steve is a twenty-five year old photographer, born and raised on the Jersey Shore. His passion for photography developed at the age of ten during a family vacation across Arizona and Utah. Since then, Steve has traveled extensively throughout the United States and many remote locations across the globe with camera in hand. While in college at the University of Delaware, Steve spent three years working with world renowned digital nature photographer and author Jonathan Cox.

   Steve spent a month on safari in Tanzania, Africa photographing the amazing landscapes and wildlife with Jon.

   During the next few years, Steve spent time hiking around Costa Rica, the Big Island of Hawaii, and two months hiking across the American West, documenting the beauty along the way. Steve also spent 16 months living in California honing his craft. Currently, Steve is back home on the Jersey Shore and has recently been experimenting with night time photography and has been doing photo and graphic design work for numerous bands in the Asbury Park music scene. Steve is currently working as the chief photographer for NJBIZ and for AERIA Records, an Asbury based record label focused on showcasing local Jersey talent to the world. Steve also runs www.sjdphoto.com where a majority of his prints are available to browse or to purchase.
   
   A purist when it comes to photography, Steve has used a Minolta X-370, a fully manual SLR film camera for most of his work. His lenses include a 28-80 mm zoom, a 70-300mm zoom, a 100mm macro, and a 400mm lens. A recent convert to digital, Steve also uses a Nikon D200 and various Nikkor lenses to capture his images.
   
   Steve is currently seeking different avenues of exposure for his photography. In addition to his website and photography for AERIA Records, he seeks to gain entrance into galleries, expand his client base in the music world, and to continue to expand his portfolio.
