   Charles has a strong corporate background. In 1999, as a lawyer at the 300 strong law firm Martineau Johnson, he was seconded to GEC Alstom to assist in their £6bn flotation on the London and New York Stock Exchanges. Later in 1999 he completed four corporate takeovers worth over £50m and was then appointed to help set up Martineau Johnson's technology and eBusiness unit.
   
   At Martineau Johnson Charles advised over 100 technology companies and was instructed by technology funds worth over £200m to find technology companies suitable for investment.
   
   Recently, Charles has helped procure offers of investment/exits for 6 technology companies ranging from £100,000 to £5m. He has been appointed by a FTSE technology company to find acquistion targets in the IT sector with valuations of £5m-£30m.
