   If anyone knows what the parking revenues might be , it is DunCombe. As the head of Detroit's Economic Growth Corporation and one of the mayor's three appointees to the six-member Stadium Authority , she is Archer's point person on the stadium deal.

A 1995 study ( done for the Tigers and obtained by the Metro Times through the Freedom of Information Act ) estimates the on-site revenue for stadium parking will be nearly $ 3 million a year. So instead of just an 80-game baseball season , there will be the addition of football games as well as the 50 to 80 auxiliary events officials say could be held at the new dome each year.

Aides to Archer said the mayor , a former state Supreme Court justice , was too busy to answer a list of five stadium questions from the Metro Times that included a key query about the constitutionality of condemnation proceedings the Stadium Authority says are about to commence west of Woodward.
   
   According to Stadium Authority documents , the land is needed to provide parking for the throngs of fans that proponents say will pour in to watch the Lions and Tigers play ball. The argument has its merits.
   
   People going to games want to park within about 10 minutes walking distance , studies indicate.
