Woodson Duncan, founder of the AGTRRA, said joining NACAM will help his organization continue the development of the American GT Challenge series in international markets.

NACAM"We already race in four nations," Duncan said."Aligning ourselves with NACAM really opens up opportunities to further develop our series throughout the Americas. There has already been interest expressed by promoters in Central and South America."

The American GT Challenge races in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.

Duncan stressed the need for international recognition.

"We have an international roster of drivers and we want to include more nations on our schedule," said Duncan.

The American GT Challenge pits purpose-built American road racing muscle cars from a variety of racing backgrounds against each other. Now operating in its third season, the AGT has been a crowd pleaser. The heavy rumble of the V-8 and V-6 engines powering Chevrolet Corvettes and Camaros against Ford Mustangs and other like cars captures the attention of race fans everywhere.

FIADuncan said the work is nearly completed on the 2007 AGT schedule but added that the series would publish an incomplete schedule with the understanding that more events will probably be added.

"I'm a racer myself," Duncan said.
