   Steve Duncan joined Sona International in September 2003 and is now the Vice President of Real Estate & Construction. Mr. Duncan started Sona's real estate division to enhance start-up services to its franchisees and minimize the time necessary to develop and open a Sona Center. Steve is very adept at maximizing speed to market; he is very tenacious while maintaining a friendly and cooperative demeanor resulting in Franchisee satisfaction as well as maximizing production. He manages the contracting of local real estate brokers, coordinates the demographic and marketing information available with commercial real estate database information and is responsible for the approval of all sites and assists in the negotiation of and approval of leases for all of the Sona locations. Mr. Duncan's unique combination of real estate leasing, brokerage, development and construction experience offers the franchisees a wide range of benefits. Mr. Duncan is a graduate of Virginia Tech, in Blacksburg, Virginia where he has also done graduate studies toward his MPA. He came to Sona with over twenty five years of experience in the real estate and construction arenas.
   
   He owned and managed a construction company in Virginia for over ten years; served as the Director of Operations for Community Housing Partners, the largest non-profit housing development corporation in Virginia and the southeast; and has been a licensed real estate broker for sixteen years. Prior to joining Sona, Mr. Duncan was Deputy Director of Interfaith Housing Alliance, Inc, where he served as second in command, reported directly to the President and Board of Directors, and was Asset Manager for a large real estate portfolio. He also directed real estate development and construction, served as Interim Director of Fund Raising and was instrumental in launching expansion efforts into adjoining states as well as contributing greatly to strategic planning and budgeting.
