  Also performing at Favor will be Koen Duncan, who began his musical journey at the age of 12, when his father introduced him to the saxophone.He then started playing in his church's band which gave him the necessary experience he needed to represent his school (Pleasantville Senior Comprehensive) in San Fest, where he received the Best Performer Award.
  
  As Koen continued to develop his talents, he became the youngest member of Broadway Boys International (BBI), playing the saxophone and singing lead vocal on such popular tunes as "Whole Armour".
  
  With BBI, Koen was given the opportunity to put two of his original compositions on the group's debut album, and the privilege to minister (playing both saxophone and singing) in Grenada, Barbados and Tobago.
  
  He also had other opportunities at the Trinidad vs Mexico football match, Pilgrimage (one of the biggest gospel concerts in Trinidad), sharing the stage with the likes of Fred Hammond, Stitchie and Chervelle Franklin.
  
  After being with BBI for five years, Koen launched out on his own.He was told that if he wanted to improve his song writing, he should learn a string instrument so he learned to play the guitar.
  
  This move inspired songs like "Bring Down", "Count It All Joy" and "Sin No More".He then joined Flow Masters Records and began working on his first solo project, forming the band Birthright.
  
  In 2005, Koen's first album Bring Down was completed.He received four United Gospel International Awards in 2006: Album of the year, Dancehall Album of the year, Song of the year ("Bring Down") and Best New Artiste.
  
  As a solo artiste, Koen has performed in Jamaica, Barbados, Grenada, St Kitts, St Vincent, and all over TT.Koen has now started his own studio and is vastly becoming a known producer.

  First impressions….small in stature with an innocent smile (once you can get it out of him), don't be fooled.Koen Duncan is anything but a walk over.A man with a mission, Koen is certainly a force to be reckoned with.This man of God has a powerful mandate.His mission - to defeat the kingdom of darkness by sharing the word of the gospel, his weapon - music.Koen is a music minister who expresses his beliefs and faith in the Word without apology.He does not assume a passive approach to ministry like so many other ministers of the day but rather takes the offensive in the battle to which he has committed himself.Tracks like ‘Bring Down', ‘You will Pay' and ‘Real Fight' - direct attacks on the kingdom of the enemy.The message is expressed with a boldness that characterizes his overall style and intricate combination of the Word and reggae/dancehall music, his major influences.
  
  The musical ministry of Koen has found widespread appeal with the youth of this Y2K generation.This evidenced by the fact that he has been requested to be a part of every major youth conference held in Trinidad and Tobago, from the TD Jakes' Youth Rally to the Youth Summit held in Trinidad in October 2007 by Dr. Myles Munroe.He has partnered with Xtreme Impact, a youth ministry that has taken him to schools throughout his homeland of Trinidad and Tobago all the way up to St. Kitts in the Greater Antilles.Along the way he has been to Grenada, St. Vincent, Jamaica and Barbados, in each island the demand for his return greater than the first, having returned recently to St. Lucia to open for award winning gospel duo, Mary Mary in 2007.

  Currently all the buzz in this scene is over relative newcomer, Koen Duncan.But if you check his history, you will find that this native son of Trinidad is not new to the gospel reggae genre at all.Koen Duncan initially cut his teeth as the trumpet player and standout vocalist of the Broadway Boyz Intl., an all-star ensemble of Christian reggae musicians and top-notch vocalists.
  
  Many of us first heard of the Broadway Boyz Intl. on Lion of Zion's "Dancehall Baptism Chapter 2" compilation with the excellent, soca-fueled, "Whole Armour".It was Koen's boisterous voice that skyrocketed this track into the atmosphere.We heard more of Koen when the Broadway Boyz released their "Rhema" album internationally.But this album gave us just a glimpse of the potential from this gruff voiced youth.After years of anticipation, we can finally get the whole picture.
  
  A few years ago Koen ventured out on a solo career and filled up his calendar with special guest appearances and live performances on the biggest stages in Trinidad.And with the help of legendary producer Sherwin Gardner, he further cultivated his own signature sound.Koen is one of those rare vocalists that is just as inspiring singing alone with his guitar as he is riding the best produced riddims from God's House of Flows.With a voice larger than life, Koen's distinctly organic growl is perfectly controlled, resulting in a remarkably smooth vocal delivery.
