Jim is the firm's collections paralegal. His responsibilities include: monitoring client accounts; establishing payment guidelines to minimize delinquent payments; contacting delinquent clients for payment of their accounts; and assisting attorneys with their collection efforts.

Jim also prepares lawsuits and other court documents to assist the firm's collection attorneys with both client and third party accounts. Once a judgment is obtained he works with the responsible attorney to collect the judgment.

Jim began his tenure with Day Ketterer in October, 2004. Prior to joining Day Ketterer, he had many years of experience with a local law firm and as Corporate Counsel for area companies.

Jim Dukat, a paralegal at Day Ketterer, is extremely proud of his daughter, Sandy's accomplishments that will be highlighted as she takes on the role of guest speaker of the Arc of Stark County, Inc.'s 43rd Annual Awareness Dinner on Tuesday, March 3, 2009. Ms. Dukat is a 1994 graduate of Winterburg University and an accomplished Paralympic, world champion skier, an American record holder in the 800-meter freestyle. Sandy joined the U.S. Disabled Ski Team in 2000, winning three bronze metals in the 2004 world championships in Austria. A frequent lecturer, she leads by example to inspire others to achieve their personal best.
