The Regional Coordinator for North America is Raisa Dukas.

Raisa is nineteen years old and she has been a member of the Glocal Youth Parliament since its inception five years ago.This fall, she is entering her final year at the University of Rochester, where she is double majoring in International Environmental Policy and Spanish.This past summer she studied abroad in Oaxaca, Mexico and Prague, Czech Republic.Currently, she is interning for an MEP of the European Parliament.

She hopes that these and other international experiences (such as the work with the Glocal Youth Parliament) will enable her to work internationally in the future.Promoting awareness and understanding of international issues continues to be of great importance to her as she is working on the creation of an international "film festival" at her university.
