Jim Dugoni was hired in 1996 as Pacific's ticket manager and associate director of marketing and events. He was appointed assistant director of athletics for external affairs in 1998 and took on the additional role of Executive Director of the Pacific Tigers Athletics Association (PTAA) in December 1999.
Dugoni's duties involve coordinating regional fundraising activities, hospitalities, booster trips, and special events such as the Orange & Black Ball. He also provides oversight for marketing and promotions activities and serves as the liaison with the Collegiate Licensing Company for all of Pacific's trademarks and wordmarks.
Since 1998, Dugoni has served as Chair of the Pacific Athletic Hall of Fame Committee and he helped to coordinate the San Francisco 49ers Summer Training Camp during the team's five years in Stockton. Dugoni has also served as Tournament Manager for NCAA Women's Volleyball Tournament matches hosted at the Alex G. Spanos Center.
A 1986 Pacific alum, Dugoni gained six years of experience in professional sports as a regional ticket manager for the San Francisco Giants, and as director of marketing and sales for the San Jose Golddiggers of Major League Volleyball. He earned a master's degree in sport management from the United States Sports Academy in 1990 before receiving a master's degree in higher education administration from Stanford in 1993.
Dugoni spent a total of four years at Stanford, first serving as group ticket sales coordinator for football and basketball before joining the major gifts staff for Stanford's Office of Development. In 1995, he was named associate director of the National Resources Program, which identified over 4,000 new major gift prospects for Stanford.
