Kendra Dugan Receives President's Award
Woodbridge resident Kendra Dugan, MSN, RN, CCRN, Director of Nursing Quality and Nursing Resources at Raritan Bay Medical Center, received the hospital's 20th annual President's Award during a recent leadership meeting.
The President's Award recognizes managers or directors who demonstrate unique skills and leadership in such areas as productivity, patient satisfaction and employee motivation."Kendra continues to implement new ideas to help meet Raritan Bay Medical Center's strategic goals," said Raritan Bay Medical Center President and CEO Michael R. D'Agnes, who presented her with the award at the meeting.

Dugan is a long time employee of RBMC.Her clinical expertise is in critical care nursing where, as part of that specialty, she progressed from staff nurse to administrative coordinator, prior to being promoted to her current position.She obtained national certification in critical care nursing early on in her career and received the national AACN Circle of Excellence Award from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses for her significant contribution to the care of critically ill patients.While completing her master's in Nursing Science at Kean University, Dugan received the Professional Leadership Award from the university's department of nursing.
The President's Award recognizes Dugan's accomplishments in nursing quality improvement, patient education and safety and nursing informatics.Recently she made a commitment to automate the hospital's nursing documentation, annual performance evaluations and patient education system.Her leadership with the hospital's Nursing Quality Action Committee encourages staff nurses to examine evidence and create action plans enabling improved patient outcomes.
