She is a former medical transcription program director and is now an adjunct professor at Seminole Community College in Sanford , Florida . Ellen has a BA in English education and taught high school English for 5 years.She has been a medical transcription practitioner in many different settings as well as a service owner and has more than 35 years in the industry.Ellen has contributed to many medical transcription education and reference books and written dozens of articles for JAAMT and Perspectives on the Medical Transcription Profession.She has made more than 30 presentations at national, state, and local AAMT meetings as well as at MTIA and the California Association of Medical Assisting Instructors (CAMAI).E-mail Ellen at ellen@aamt.org.
