Banking veteran Leo E. Doyle will retire June 1 as senior vice president of commercial lending for Huntington Bank's Greater Akron/Canton region.

His career began in 1974 as a management trainee for Harter Bank & Trust Co.He became assistant vice president of commercial lending at United National Bank & Trust Co. in 1976.

Through 26 years at United Bank, Doyle held numerous senior management positions.

He retired as executive vice president of commercial lending from Unizan Bank in 2002, after the merger of United National Bank & Trust Co. and First National Bank of Zanesville.But then he joined Sky Bank as executive vice president of commercial lending.Sky Bank later merged with Huntington.

He has bachelor's and master's degrees from Bowling Green State University and an MBA from Kent State University.He also completed the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Delaware.

Doyle is chairman of the board at Aultman Hospital, and involved with North Canton Community Building YMCA, Canton Student Loan Foundation, Stark County Historical Society/McKinley Museum and St. Paul's Catholic Church Endowment Fund Committee.
