    Position: Video Coordinator

Jeff Dotson enters his 13th overall year in the Rams' athletic department. He rejoined Colorado State on July 17, 2006.

A vital cog in the Rams' support staff, Dotson coordinates all aspects of video production for CSU athletics, utilizing a non-linear network to produce video for sports analysis applications and productions. He supplies CSU coaches and student-athletes with footage of their practices and competitions, allowing them to evaluate their performances and reach the height of their potential.

He also works with professional scouts, including those from the NFL, NBA and WNBA, in supplying game film of Rams student-athletes prior to each draft in the respective leagues, and provides CSU coaches with important film of their upcoming opponents, as well as footage of potential national letter of intent signees.

What's more, Dotson and his staff have produced several creative video feature packages, including the annual film spotlighting the Rams' recently signed football recruits, and the annual football highlight video.

In April of 2008, his conference peers voted him as the Mountain West Video Coordinator of the Year. The award, sponsored by the Collegiate Sports Video Association, made Dotson one of 12 eligible candidates for the Bob Matey National Video Coordinator of the Year.

Dotson rejoined Colorado State in 2006 after two previous stints with the university. From 1991-98, and from 2000-01, Dotson also headed up the Rams' video department.

He returned to Fort Collins after working for several companies in the sports technology marketplace, including GridIron Technologies, Daktronics, Inc., and Pinnacle Systems, Inc. In addition, he directed the University of Nebraska's video department from 2004-05.

A former television production assistant, Dotson also has worked at KGAN-TV in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and WMUR-TV in Manchester, N.H.

Dotson owns a bachelor's degree in communication studies from the University of Iowa.

Born in Boone, Iowa, Dotson graduated from Londonderry (N.H.) High School.

He and his wife, the former Kathy Ralfs, have two children, Katie and Nathan, and make their home in Fort Collins.
