Jeanne F. Dotson, director of Student Loan/Account Repayment at Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn., received the Ole and Lucy Flaat Distinguished Service Award for support staff.
Dotson's level of expertise in student loans has made her a nationally recognized expert in her field.She is frequently asked to speak at national conferences and has chaired committees to advise the U.S. Department of Education.In 2001, she was elected president of the Coalition of Higher Education Assistance organizations.She was also invited to join the board of directors of the National Student Clearinghouse, a group of loan lenders, guarantors, services and educational institutions who work closely with the federal government on student loans.Because of Dotson's involvement, the student loan policies of Concordia College have become influential models for other colleges and universities in the United States.
