    Stephanie Dooley NelsonStephanie Dooley Nelson began her service to the DAYL in 1997 when she became active in a variety of DAYL committees.Since that time, she has served in varying ranks of the DAYL leadership from committee chair to her current position as Immediate Past President.In 1999, Ms. Nelson was honored as the DAYL's Outstanding Director.She has served as a trustee of the DAYL Foundation since 2000 and served as Chair of the Foundation in 2002.Ms. Nelson is a Founding Fellow of the DAYL Foundation and a Fellow of the Dallas Bar Foundation.

    Ms. Nelson has practiced with the law firm of Carrington, Coleman, Sloman & Blumenthal, L.L.P. since 1997.She practices in the areas of complex commercial litigation and appellate law, and has argued before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the Dallas Court of Appeals.Ms. Nelson has also worked on significant litigation matters in cases involving professional liability defense and employment practices.Ms. Nelson attended the University of Texas and earned her B.A. in 1991.She attended Baylor University School of Law and earned her J.D., cum laude, in 1997.While at Baylor, Ms. Nelson was Managing Editor of the Baylor Law Review, competed on Baylor's Moot Court Team, and was named the law school's Outstanding Student in 1997.

    Ms. Nelson enjoys traveling, scuba diving, snow skiing, and spends her time with husband Mark and their infant son, Alex.She is also an avid fan of the Dallas Stars.
