Mr. Dooley has been a Partner with the firm since 1973.
He is frequently invited to present seminars on Tennessee Workers' Compensation and liability law to employers, human resource professionals, and insurance adjusters all over the United States, and was invited to present his "Workers' Compensation in Tennessee" overview to the National Business Institute in 1988 and 1989.
He is also the author of the Tennessee chapter of the American Law Firm Association's Workers' Compensation Law: A State-by-State Analysis.
Born in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, Mr. Dooley received a scientific diploma from Columbia Military Academy before completing his B.A. at Vanderbilt University and his J.D. at the Cumberland School of Law of Samford University (1969).
While in law school he was a Founding Member of the Cumberland Law Review and was inducted into Phi Delta Phi, where he served as Magister (1968).
He served in the United States Army Reserves Infantry from 1956-1963, rising to the rank of Captain.
Mr. Dooley's professional and honorary associations include serving a term as President of the Chattanooga Bar Association and receiving the American Jurisprudence Award for Excellence in Real Estate.
He is also a member of the Tennessee Bar Association (Member, Section on Labor and Employment Law) and the American Bar Association (Member, Sections on Tort and Insurance Practice, Litigation, Labor and Employment Law), the Tennessee Defense Lawyers Association, the Defense Research Institute, the Southern Association of Workers' Compensation Administrators, and the International Association of Defense Counsel (Member, Committees on Casualty Insurance, Products Liability, Construction and Employment).
