The law firm of Leitner, Williams, Dooley & Napolitan, PLLC announced that Doug Dooley has been elected as a Vice President of the Tennessee Defense Lawyers Association (TDLA).

The TDLA is a group of lawyers primarily engaged in defense litigation.

Mr. Dooley has served as a Director of TDLA for the past three years.He was also elected as the Tennessee State Representative for the Southern Region of the Defense Research Institute.

Mr. Dooley has been associated with the firm since 1987 and became a member in 1992. He practices all areas of litigation with emphasis in transportation, workers' compensation, employment law, premises liability, products liability and insurance coverage. He is regularly invited to lecture on Tennessee workers' compensation and tort liability to risk managers, human resource administrators and insurance claims adjusters all over the country.

Born in Birmingham, Alabama, Mr. Dooley is a graduate of The McCallie School (1980) in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He received a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Finance and Investment Management from The University of Alabama (1984) and Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University (1987).

Mr. Dooley serves on the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Defense Lawyers Association and the Workers' Compensation National Client Advisory Board for the American Law Firm Association (ALFA). He has been nominated and accepted in the International Association of Defense Counsel.

He is also a member of Chattanooga and Tennessee Bar Associations, Southern Association of Workers' Compensation Administrators, Defense Research Institute, Tennessee Defense Lawyers Association and American Law Firm Association.

In the Chattanooga community, Mr. Dooley is the Senior Warden of St. Paul's Episcopal Church where he has served on the Vestry and as Stewardship Chair. He is Vice-President of the Board for the Signal Mountain Soccer Association and has served on the Board of Directors with Habitat for Humanity.
