For the past five years, every graduate of the Huntington School of Beauty Culture who has wanted to get a job in the field has found one, says Jack Donta, owner of the school he established more than 40 years ago.Last July, he had 158 students.
"It's absolutely unreal," said Donta, 71, who works about 60 hours a week at the school.

An increase in clients may be attributed to more people interested in maintaining their youthful appearances and more women having careers where they must have a professional look, Donta said.
"More women go into the workforce and they have to look good when they present themselves to the public," he said.

An average haircut in the Tri-State area is $14, Jack Donta said.Stylists can make hundreds of dollars in tips each week depending upon the location and type of salon, he said.
