James J. Donovan, an executive at M&T Bank, Pottsville, and a former member of the board of Schuylkill United Way, Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce, the Schuylkill Economic Development Corporation (SEDCO), and the Blue Mt. School District's Eagle Foundation.

James J. Donovan, regional manager for M&T Bank and newly-elected chairman of the Education Action Team, said the committee's work was both "a challenge and an opportunity.

"We need to keep our emphasis on connecting our educational providers with our employers, and we need to implement action plans that are necessary to achieve our strategies," Donovan said.
