Lone shopper Jimmy Donovan, 33, of Woburn was feeling the pinch of time.

So far, Donovan had purchased just one gift a pair of cooking scissors from Crate & Barrel for his wife.Because he only shops with cash, heading to the mall is his sole, if unfavorable, option, he says.
