Tim Donohue, a senior sales associate with McCarthy Associates, a commercial real estate brokerage in White Plains, said his firm benefits when companies with foreign roots decide they need offices in Westchester to take advantage of the intellectual capital and proximity to New York City.

But other companies decide they would rather not pay the region's high wages and outsource productions to nations such as India or China.As an example, Donohue cited a decision by Reuters, the news agency, to move half its employees from the top floor of a downtown White Plains office building to India.

Tim is involved in numerous business and community activities, including the White Plains Rotary Club, currently serving as President of the Fairfield/Westchester Villanova University Alumni Chapter, a volunteer for the local Habitat for Humanity, a member of The Business Council of Westchester's Economic Development Council.In addition, Tim is involved with The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, and the Friendly Gathering Committee.Tim has also been an official and coach for the White Plains Department of Recreation and Parks.

Prior to joining McCarthy Associates, Inc. he worked for Sanford C. Bernstein in White Plains, NY specializing in client service representation.

A life-long resident of White Plains, Tim is a 2001 graduate of Villanova University, with a B.S. degree in Finance.
