Susan Donohue
With the objective of introducing myself , I thought that I would provide some biographical information so that you can gain some perspective as to my background and approach to the subject matter in this course.
Most of my early formative years were spent in New Hampshire ; I attended a preparatory/boarding school ; and ultimately graduated from the University of Maine with a BS Degree in Civil Engineering.After graduation , I spent several years in the U.S. Air Force as an Electronics Maintenance Officer in a B-47 SAC Squadron in Ohio.
Commencing in the mid 1950s , I spent over 17 years in the defense industry in the capacity of design engineer , field service engineer , staff engineer , and engineering manager ( Boeing Airplane Co. , Sanders Associates , Bendix Corp. , and General Dynamics Corp. ).

Susan Donohue is working on her Ph.D. in Systems Engineering.Her research will focus on topics in the subject of software quality control.She has earned a B.A. degree in Political Science from Marquette University ( 1980 ) , a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Statistics from Virginia Commonwealth University ( 1992 ) , and a M.E. in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia via the Commonwealth Graduate Engineering Program ( 2000 ).
She has previously held positions as an academic counselor , high school teacher , computer programmer , systems analyst , and technical writer.She is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa , Alpha Sigma Nu , and Omega Rho honor societies , and is affiliated with the DAR and Alpha Delta Pi.
Susan's nonacademic activities include working for the Indian Rivers Humane Society , St. David's Community Food Bank ( the CornerStone ) , and indulgence in hobbies such as gardening and cooking.
