Head of Production & Producer

Derek started his career in the Theatre as a Stage Manager working for the European Chamber Opera before moving into television drama production on a variety of projects including ‘Ivanhoe', ‘Berkley Square', ‘The Echo', ‘Big Cat', ‘Sweet Revenge', ‘The Whistle Blower' , and the first two series of ‘Life Begins'.

He also crewed on a number of award wining films and dramas including the B.A.F.T.A award-wining ‘Young Offenders', and the Edinburgh International Film Festival award-winning film ‘The Last Resort' and Royal Television Society award-winning ‘Holding On'.

Derek has worked mainly for the B.B.C but more recently for I.T.V with Granada and Tiger Aspect Productions Ltd.He is currently working as a Freelance Production Manager on the National Television Award Winning flagship Drama ‘Eastenders' back at the B.B.C.

He has worked extensively in theatre as a Director and Producer having directed numerous productions with ARTTS Skillcentre and indeed the ARTTS Touring Company.

In the Corporate market Derek has worked on many projects as an Associate Producer and Production Manager.
