Wincel B. Donoho
Wincel B. Donoho, 91, of Pittsburg, died at 9:50 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2002, at Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center.
She was born July 16, 1910, at Englevale to I.I. and Myrtle N. Curry Karnes.
She moved to a farm near Walnut and attended a country school until moving to Pittsburg.She attended junior high school at Eight and Broadway and graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1928 and Kansas State Teachers College (now Pittsburg State University) in 1932 with a degree in business.She worked as a stenographer and bookkeeper for Ramsey's and later for Van Hoy-Bumcrot Motor Co.
She married Jack G. Donoho on Nov. 25, 1937.They owned the Donoho Motor Co. and Donoho Oil Co.They sold Dodge and Plymouth automobiles and Phillips Petroleum gas and oil.They later sold the motor company and continued the transport business until Mr. Donoho's death in 1972.
She was a member of the First Christian Church and Crestwood Country Club.
