Michael Donnino, MD attended college at the University of Notre Dame and medical school at Indiana University.He then went to Henry Ford Hospital where he became the first in the country to pursue a combined Emergency Medicine/Internal Medicine/Critical Care Medicine Program at a single center.During his time at Henry Ford, he has performed research mostly in the areas of sepsis and cardiac arrest under the mentorship of Emanuel Rivers, MD. Over the past several years he published numerous abstracts, several manuscripts, and has been an invited commentator in the Yearbook of Critical Care Medicine.In addition, Dr. Donnino currently reviews articles for Critical Care Forum.During his second year of residency, he published a review book for the Medical College Admission Examination (MCAT).
Dr. Donnino has received numerous awards for his research and has been an invited speaker at national and international conferences.Last year, he organized and was Chairman of the first annual resuscitation conference at Henry Ford titled "Sepsis Symposium 2003".
