Theresa Donnigan , executive director of the Little Traverse Bay Humane Society in Petoskey , said her shelter adopted a no-kill strategy two years ago. She said nationally , no-kill means that pets are not euthanized because of overcrowding. Donnigan said one feral cat and another cat that was vicious have been the only two animals that have been euthanized since adopting the policy. It was kind of bold move and but we're trying to improve the conditions that the animals are living in , Donnigan said.
