Dr. Deane Donnigan gained a BSc in pharmacy from the University of Georgia followed by a doctorate of clinical pharmacy at the Medical College of Georgia before embarking upon a career in finance.Donnigan began her career at Emory University Hospital in Georgia as a clinical pharmacist.She subsequently took her extensive pharmaceutical expertise to the asset management arena when she joined Framlington (now AXA Framlington) as an analyst in 1997.As manager of the AXA Framlington Health fund, she uses the GARP investment approach.Away from the office she is a keen tennis player.

Deane joined AXA Framlington in October 1997.She currently man-ages the AXA Framlington Health Fund and the AXA World Fund Framlington Health Fund.

Deane attended University of Georgia and the Medical College of Georgia, spending 7 years working as a pharmacy intern and a reg-istered pharmacist while working on her BS and PharmD degrees.After this, she worked for 2 years at the Medical College of Georgia Hospital and Clinics with paediatric and adult patients.

In 1990, Deane accepted a position with Emory University Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia, as a clinical specialist.

Gareth Powell: Gareth joined Framlington in 1999 from Exeter College, Oxford University, where he studied Biochemistry.During his time at Oxford, he worked at Zeneca (which later became Syngenta) and Yamanouchi and also at a variety of academic laboratories, achieving sponsorship for one placement from the Wellcome Trust.He also worked as a research associate for the lecturer teaching the MBA with Life Sciences at the Oxford Business School.
