Donald "Donnie" L. King, 54, of Zim died Sunday, March 19, 2006, at his residence.

Donnie was born Aug. 10, 1951, to Donald and Mabel (Villebrun) King in Knife River, Minn.

Donnie enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps for three years.He worked on the oil rigs in Texas as a driller and was a cultural advisor with the Native American youth in Eveleth.Donnie was united in marriage to Kathryn Koepke on Oct. 15, 1983, in Virginia.

Donnie was an iron worker and later became a millwright with Local 1348 of Virginia.He enjoyed fishing, hunting, ricing, woodwork and playing guitar.He also loved to do beadwork and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and the quietness of his home life.
