Donnica is best recognized as the women's health expert on NBC's Later Today Show during the 1999-2000 season.From 1997-1999, she discussed women's health issues as a medical expert on NBC's Weekend Today Show. Dr. Donnica has done over 200 women's health television segments, discussing contraception to infertility and migraines to menopause.Dr. Donnica's voice is now heard daily in the nationally syndicated radio spot Dr.Donnica's Women's Health Report.She is also a frequent speaker around the country for both consumer and medical audiences on women's health topics.
Dr. Donnica is most well known for her role as the weekly medical contributor for the full run of NBC's Later Today Show, where she discussed topics ranging from contraception to menopause, infertility to pregnancy, and headaches to heart disease.Prior to joining Later Today, she was a frequent guest on NBC's Weekend Today.In addition, she has done more than 200 television interviews on diverse women's health and medical topics.She has written articles for publications such as the Washington Post and Medical Tribune, in addition to her papers in medical journals.Articles discussing her work have appeared in the New York Times, Chicago Tribune, Wall Street Journal, Boston Globe, and Business Week.
Dr. Donnica's presence on the Internet goes beyond her site at DrDonnica.com.Several of her articles remain featured on MSNBC.com's health front page.She is also the Chair of Vitality for Life, a menopause education campaign developed by women physicians for women patients ; she hosts its website, www.menopausehealth.com.She does frequent live chat on women's health topics at www.WebMD.com, and is often interviewed in articles on women's health topics at numerous health portals and news sites.
Dr. Donnica is a member of the Board of Directors of the Society for Women's Health Research, as well as Research!America, a national advocacy group for the advancement of biomedical research.Previously, she was a member of the Board of Directors of the American Medical Women's Association for 7 years.She is a founding co-chair of the annual Congress on Women's Health.In addition, she is a member of the editorial boards of the Journal of Women's Health, Disease Management, and Women in Medicine.
Dr. Donnica has won several prestigious awards.Most recently, she was listed as one of the 15 Most Influential Forces in Healthcare Information Technology by Advance Magazine.She was also featured on the Sept. 2000 cover of Women in Medicine Magazine in an article called Top Docs : Three Women Show Us How it be Done".
Dr. Moore was raised in Brooklyn, New York.She graduated cum laude from Princeton University with a double major.Upon graduating, Dr. Moore won a Rotary International Graduate Fellowship at the University College of Dublin School of Medicine in Ireland, where she represented the United States as a goodwill ambassador while beginning her medical studies.She earned her medical degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine.She undertook residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Temple University Hospital and in family medicine at Memorial Hospital of Burlington County (NJ).She is married and is the mother of two children.
