Legendary Allman Brothers drummer Jaimoe, the Fairfield University Orchestra and Jazz Ensemble, Eric Donnelly's band The Alternate Routes, and the local band Prophets of Funk, will pay tribute to Fairfield residents Kim and Tim Donnelly at a concert celebration on Saturday, May 7, 2005.

The Donnellys' son Eric and daughter Tara graduated from the university in 2001 and 2003 respectively, and Tara went on to earn her MBA in 2004.Eric has taught guitar as an Applied Music Teacher at Fairfield University since his senior year.

The Alternate Routes, a rock band Eric formed with fellow Fairfield grad Tim Warren '03, will be among the performers at the May 7 concert.

Donnelly is a fellow Fairfield cross-country alumni, have earned a B.A. Music and Philosophy this past May.A four-year member of the Stags cross-country program, Donnelly was a three-time member of the MAAC All-Academic Team.Donnelly is currently an adjunct professor of music at Fairfield.

The Stags will open the 2001 season Saturday, Sept. 8, when they travel to New Britain, Conn. for the Central Connecticut State Invitational.Fairfield will host the 25th Annual Fairfield Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 6, beginning at 11 a.m.
