Doug Dohmen, vice president of sales and marketing for Osiris Entertainment, the film's U.S. distributor, said his company hasn't scheduled anything as far as screening the film locally goes, but is trying to create additional awareness for "Leaving Barstow" at the local Blockbuster store and other independent video outlets. The release of the film, he said, may generate enough word-of-mouth that interest in the film would pick up.

"'Slumdog Millionaire' is a very good example," Dohmen said.

Doug Dohmen was recently named vice president of sales and marketing for Osiris Entertainment. Dohmen leaves his director of sales post at Porchlight Home Entertainment.

Dohmen will oversee Osiris' television, home entertainment and digital distribution. Previously, he has worked as vice president of sales at Hallmark Home Entertainment and director of sales at Republic Pictures Home Video.

Chatsworth, CA-based Osiris Entertainment has tapped Doug Dohmen as the company's new VP of Sales and Marketing. He will oversee broadcast, home entertainment and digital distribution for the company's film library.

Osiris Entertainment, Inc., an independent film and DVD distributor, named Doug Dohmen as its new VP/Sales and Marketing joining from Porchlight Home Entertainment where he served as Director/Sales. In his new role, Doug will be in charge of the television, home entertainment and digital distribution of the company's film library. Doug will report to Evan Crooke, CEO.

Doug Dohmen is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, with a B.A. Degree in Broadcast Journalism. Beginning his career in home video, Doug served as the Midwest Regional Sales Manager for Republic Pictures Home Video before assuming the position of Director of Sales. In 1994 Doug joined Hallmark Home Entertainment as the Vice President of Sales. Prior to joining PorchLight Home Entertainment, Doug was the Vice President of Sales for Inkworks, a company specializing in the sales of licensed trading cards.
