Lisa K. Dobbs

Lisa K. Dobbs is an entrepreneur who has spent 17 years in the food industry.She holds a Bachelors Degree in Political Science from the University of Florida and she did research for her degree in Poznan, Poland at a time when Poland was still under communist rule.She spent 2 years at the prestigious Ecole de Cuisine La Varenne in Paris before starting a food catering business in Moscow, Russia, just as the communist red flag was being hauled down from the Kremlin.As part of this business, she contracted with an organic farmer to grow vegetables which were impossible to get in Russia, introducing such Western staples as broccoli to the Russian market.After five years, she enabled her employees to buy the company, giving them the possibility to be successful capitalists.Lisa then stayed home to raise her three children, and became president of the school PTA.She raised $70,000 for the school renovation project while PTA president.She currently works for the Montgomery County Public School system in food and nutrition services.
