"I love to see all ages being comfortable in a place," Linda Dobbs said."I like the fact they have music for different tastes on many nights of the week, and that you can take your family and your young children. They listen to the music, and they look at the instruments and are absolutely enthralled."

Clark, a New Orleans native who was working as a cook at Chili Willi's with his wife before opening Calamity Café, said he and Terre took a chance and opened a restaurant brushed with their tastes in food, music and art.

It is hard to believe now, but Clark said the idea of a sustainable business at the spot was a gamble.
