As a child, Laura Dobbs was always drawing with crayons.These days, she's more likely to have a computer mouse in her hand.But regardless of the tool, Laura's artistic talent shows in every project she produces for The Ag Agency.

Laura began her graphic design career in 1991 with a commercial printing firm and joined the Farm Credit Bank of Texas in 1994 as a typesetter.She has been part of The Ag Agency's talented design team since 1997, collaborating with other staff members to produce publications, ad campaigns, annual reports, brochures and other print- and Web-based projects.

Bent on following an artistic career path, she studied fine art and graphic art at McLennan Community College in Waco and the University of Texas at Austin, where she received her bachelor's degree in fine art.It was a bonus for Laura when she discovered she could earn a living as an artist.She has completed numerous software and design courses to become proficient in cutting-edge design techniques.

Some folks may consider artists to be a little flaky, but the only things flaky about Laura are the delicious pies she bakes for her co-workers.An avid cook, baker and organic gardener, her hobbies include reading, camping and hiking.Her interests are plants, art, movies and nature.In 2001, she received the Farm Credit Bank of Texas Trusted Partner Award.
