Jim Dinnage was appointed General Counsel of INVISTA Inc. in February 2003.Previously, Jim served as counsel to the DuPont transition team formed in 2002 in connection with the intended separation of DuPont's nylon, spandex and polyester fibers businesses.
Jim has a broad range of U.S. and European experience in mergers, divestitures, corporation law, securities regulation, corporate and project finance, commercial transactions and antitrust.
Jim joined DuPont Legal in 1979 as UK Legal Adviser.He moved to Wilmington, Delaware in 1985 as an Assistant Secretary of DuPont.In 1993, Jim transferred to Conoco U.K.Jim left DuPont briefly from 1997 to 2000 to establish a private practice in London.In 2000, Jim returned to DuPont and became counsel to the Polyester Enterprise.
Jim graduated from Cambridge University (England) in 1972, received a License speciale in European law from Brussels University in 1974 and is admitted to practice in England, New York and DC.Jim has taught at Villanova Law School and is the author of numerous legal publications.His outside interests include music and tennis.
