Mark Honored as a Distinguished Alumnus!
Mark attended the 2nd Annual School of Environment and Natural Resources Recognition Dinner on April 21, 2009, and received a wonderful surprise from his fellow alumni: He was presented the Distinguished Alumnus Award.
This award is "in honor of the dedication and meritorious service to the advancement of his profession and the field of natural resources.
Mark is grateful to Leighland and Angel Arehart, Lori Monska, Tom Shuman and all of his other fellow SENR Alumni Society board members for this honor.

Qualified Data Collector: Level 3 Fish Certification - Mark Dilley is now certified through Ohio EPA's QDC program for Level 3 Fish studies for biological monitoring of wadeable streams and rivers.
Vernal Pool Workshop 2009
Mark Dilley recently spoke at the Ohio Vernal Pool Workshop, hosted by the Ohio Environmental Council and the Ohio Vernal Pool Partnership, at Stratford Ecological Center.
This workshop emphasized the importance of monitoring vernal pools and served to educate citizens, landowner, officials and other environmentalists about the functions and benefits of vernal pools throughout Ohio.
Topics ranged from "How to monitor a vernal pool" to "The Salamander Hybrids" and Mark discussed "How to Construct a Vernal Pool".
