In the summer of 1978, Allan Dickie was welcomed to the intense world of racing by long time friends, the Makinsons.Teaming up with Bobby Makinson, Al purchased Roy Makinson's number 81 coupe.
...
In June 1989, Allan had welcomed the last of three new young race fans to his world, hoping they would enjoy wednesday nights at Capital City as much as he did.
Throughout the 90's, Al raced the number 82 pro Stock. However, he eventually took off his racing shoes and sat back as owner.
...
Together, Al and Gilles brought home win after win, intimidating the rookies and showing the field what they were up against.
...
After the pro Stock came the IMCA Modified, with Gilles behind the wheel and Al calling all the shots, the pair took the season in second place.
...
Al sold the car and built a Pro Truck. He devoted all his time and energy into the truck. This would quickly prove to be his pride and joy.Al took it to the next level and built a second truck which would see drivers such as Tim Dorning, Kevin Ramsay, Ron Finlay, Casey Cavanaugh as drivers and finally falling into the lap of Mike Hennick.
...
This class would be the most competitive Al would see for many years, the trucks took home second place finishes, nearly missing first.
As was seen with the IMCA modified class, the class sizes of the trucks got smaller and smaller over the years. The class was finally cancelled at the end of 2005 season.Al continued to show his dedication to racing and showed the size of his heart as he stood behind Mike Hennick and his 71 Pro Stock. The car finished in second place in the 2005 season, partly in thanks to the support of Al.
In 2005, Al sold both the trucks and everything to do with racing, but when racing is in your blood, you can never truly sit back and be content being a spectator. So Allan tracked down a Limited Late Model and bought it without thinking twice.Allan joined thed Dew Motorsports team in the 2006 season with Dave Waite driving the number 88.

The 2007 racing season see's Dan McHattie drive the newly bought 2005 lefthander chassis that Allan purchased over the winter months.
