   Gora Dia is a librarian and archivist and the head of the Documentation Service at the Institut Fondamental d'Afrique Noire (IFAN) affiliated with the Université Cheikh Anta Diop. IFAN is a research institute in the social sciences, humanities, and natural sciences with a specific focus on West African societies. Mr. Dia has a degree in library science and archival studies from the Ecole des Bibliothécaires, Archivistes et Documentalistes de l'Université de Dakar. He has been at IFAN for nine years and has published articles on the impact of globalization and the Internet and on the collaborative relationships between academic researchers and library professions at IFAN.
   
   Madiama Mbayeis a Program Assistant and the current computer specialist at the West African Research Center and will eventually be the systems manager of the server there. He also works as a test administrator at the Sylvan Technology Center. His university studies include courses in English and American literature and he has been an officer of the English Club. He completed his masters degree in English in 1997. He is currently taking courses in international marketing and commerce at the University of Dakar.
