ACCC's accreditation task force co-chairperson Sheila Dewey said outcome measurements look at the perspective of the individual and whether they feel they have achieved their goals.Supports, she said, look at what the Center has in place to help individuals work toward achieving their goals.

Van Kleeck's recommendation is given to The Council and the Center will, said Dewey, have the final report within 60 days.She said she has never heard of an occassion where The Council approves an accreditation term different from the reviewer's recommendation.
As a licensed Intermediate Care Facility for the Mentally Retarded (ICF-MR) in North Dakota, ACCC is mandated by the State to be accredited The Council.The Center's previous accreditation was for two years.
"A three-year accreditation indicates that as an organization we are using our resources effectively to provide the kinds of supports that are resulting in a high number of personal outcomes being achieved by each and every child we serve," said Dewey.
8th graders join in Halloween fun
Wednesday, Oct. 31 - More than 100 8th graders from Jamestown arrived at ACCC Wednesday, Oct. 31 to participate in the Halloween carnival.
The students assisted the ACCC kids with trick-or-treating around the Center and then worked at a variety of game stations, including pumpkin bowling and the fish pond.
