In 2004 Dewey was named a Pioneer in the M2M Space by M2M Magazine and on June 26, 2006 appeared publicly for the first time in his new position at M2M United, a renowned industry event organized by M2M magazine.In his new position, Dewey will be responsible for establishing U.S.-based operations focused on sales, marketing, business development, customer support and services, and regulatory certifications for Telit in North and Latin America.Dewey has held senior management positions in the areas of strategy, sales, and marketing at Sony Ericson's M2M business unit and at Ericsson's Mobile Internet before that.
From January 2005 to February 2006, Roger Dewey (44) served as Sony Ericsson's Vice President of Product and Business Strategy for the company's M2M Business Unit.His mission was to strategically guide development of marketing, and sales of wireless connectivity products and solutions to commercial and industrial businesses as well as consumers.Before that, from late 2001, Dewey was Vice President, The Americas at Sony Ericsson M2M.There he built-up and lead the Business Unit's Americas Regional Operations.Previous to his positions at Sony Ericsson, Dewey was Vice President & General Manager, Marketing & Sales for Ericsson's Mobile Internet Application Business Unit in Stockholm, Sweden.During this time, he held global responsibility for Marketing and Sales of Ericsson's Mobile Internet applications and platforms.Additionally, Dewey was responsible for the operative launch of market activities towards Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNO).
