Kevin Derbyshire is a member of the Business Practices, and Technology & Intellectual Property Groups at Gardiner Roberts, advising clients on a broad range of corporate, commercial, and information technology matters.

Prior to joining Gardiner Roberts, Kevin was VP - General Counsel & Business Affairs at a Toronto-based wireless telecommunications company, and was part of the founding team that launched the company in 2004. For his achievements, Kevin was awarded the ZSA/National Post Canadian General Counsel of the Year Award in the Mid-Market Excellence category in 2007. Kevin led the implementation of all material commercial agreements related to the start-up of the company's operations including network provisioning, call center, inventory logistics, retail distribution, technology procurement and content licensing. From 2000-2004, Kevin was a senior legal officer at one of Canada's largest telecommunications companies with responsibilities that included technology procurement, content licensing, broadcasting and telecommunication service provisioning arrangements with large corporate and governmental entities. From 1994-2000, Kevin was a senior legal officer at one of the world's largest courier companies where he was responsible for implementing the company's significant business transactions in the corporate/commercial, real estate and technology areas. Kevin commenced his career practicing corporate commercial law at one of Canada's top law firms based in Toronto.
