   Stan DeKoven, Ph.D. is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, as well as a Certified School Psychologist in California. He received his Ph.D. from the Professional School of Psychological Studies. He also received his Bachelors Degree in Psychology from San Diego State University and his Masters Degree in Counseling from Webster University. Dr. DeKoven also has a Doctor of Ministry Degree from the Evangelical Theological Seminary.
   
   The areas of special expertise of Dr. DeKoven include: Ministry to Families in Crisis, Child and Adolescent Counseling, Substance Abuse Treatment, and Church Leadership Development. He is an excellent teacher in seminars and conferences. As an ordained minister and teacher, and pastor, he is acutely aware of the needs of pastors and the local church.
   
   Dr. DeKoven is the President of Vision International University, Family Care Services, and Vision International Network; cofounder/director of Pelican Family Institute in San Diego, Ca., Clinical Director for Gateway Center for Addiction Services; Clinical Member, California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists; Clinical Member, American Association for Marriage and Family Therapists; Clinical Member, American Christian Counselors Association; Dr. DeKoven is Chairman of the American Society of Christian Therapists.
