Wayne has always wanted to improve the environment both locally and globally. He got his chance when he made a necessary career change from the construction field after suffering an injury and came to Ulster where he entered the College's Environmental Control/Hazardous Waste program. He has found great success in his career for Severn Trent Environmental Services Inc. of Wappingers Falls, where he coordinates company safety programs in the Hudson Valley and western New York, managing special projects and facilities.
A 1987 graduate of Ulster, Wayne is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree from Marist College. He maintains close ties with Ulster and is a frequent representative of the College's Environmental Control/Hazardous Waste program during high school college nights and the regional Science Olympiad. His volunteer work doesn't end there.
As a member of the Society of American Magicians, Wayne gives freely of his time, entertaining at residences like the Baptist Home, the Kingston Adult Residence and for local conservation groups. He also assisted the Dutchess County United Way through a company-sponsored golf tournament and by volunteering his construction talents to the Catherine Street Community Center and the Poughkeepsie Day Nursery.
Wayne is active with Trout Unlimited, serving as the Water Quality Chairman for New York State and by serving as its representative on the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Water Management Advisory Committee and on Cornell University's Water Resources Institute Advisory Committee. -
