   Former northern Nevada assemblyman, Marcia deBraga, was elected chairman of the Nevada Rural Democratic Caucus
   
   Addressing the attendees, de Braga said one of her main goals is to get a functioning democratic central committee in every rural county and to strengthen the existing central committees. There are currently two counties without central committees. She said her long-term goal is to recruit strong democratic candidates for public offices.

   Fallon resident Marcia de Braga has been elected to be the new chairman of the Rural Nevada Democratic Caucus.
   
   The caucus was founded by de Braga, though she did not sit on the executive board until recently due to other commitments. In forming the caucus de Braga said she was acting in response to rural Democrats who felt marginalized by state politics, which tends to focus on the population centers of Las Vegas, Reno, and Carson City.
