David Debono - Austin Health
David is the Manager of the Clinical Information Unit at Austin Health. His responsibilities include overseeing the Power Cost Manager (PCM) System, and the processing and reporting of costing data.
David commenced his career within the Acute Health Division of the Department of Human Services. His primary role was as the Victorian Representative for the National Hospital Cost Data Collection (NHCDC). In this role David was introduced to costing, coordinating Victoria's submission and actively cost modelling some Victorian rural hospitals.
Prior to joining Austin Health, David worked as a Health Industry Analyst and Casemix Adviser at Medibank Private. David worked on a number of projects including Hospital Purchaser Provider Agreement (HPPA) audits, funding model development for future HPPA negotiations and wellbeing product development.
He holds a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) from La Trobe University and a Graduate Diploma in Health Economics & Evaluation from Monash University. -
