   Cassel will be assisted by Joe Augustine (North Scituate, R.I.), head coach at the University of Rhode Island, and David Debol (Saline, Mich.), head coach at the University of Michigan-Dearborn.

   Debol, currently in his third season as head coach at Michigan-Dearborn, played college hockey at the University of Michigan.He helped the school to the 1977 NCAA national title game while setting Michigan's single-season scoring record with 99 points in 45 games.Following his collegiate career, Debol went on to play six years of professional hockey, including a stint with the Hartford Whalers.
   
   NOTES: Today's selection of players to the 2007 U.S. University Select Team is subject to the approval of the United States Olympic Committee's Games Preparation Division , Team USA features four players from both Illinois and Rhode Island, three players from Penn State University and two players each from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and Ohio University , Cassel served as an assistant coach for Team USA at the Winter World University Games in 2001 and 2003, before being slated for the head coaching position at the 2005 Games , Cassel is a USA Hockey Level 4 certified coach, while both Augustine and Debol are USA Hockey Level 3 certified coaches.
