   Graduated in Biotechnology from St. Anthony's College, Shillong in the year 1996. Post Graduated in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from Tezpur University, Tezpur, Assam in 2001. Due to her Academic Records she was the recipient of various Scholarships viz, National Scholarship, Govt. of India till 12 th Class, North Eastern Council Scholarship, till Masters, entitled to Scholarship from Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India for Master in Biotechnology. She has gained research experience from IMTECH, Chandigarh and from the Department of Immunology, North- Eastern Hill University, Shillong. She has a brief industrial experience for six months in the Division of Quality Control of Bharat Immunologicals and Biologicals Cooperation Ltd. (BIBCOL, An Oral Polio Vaccine production Unit), Bulandshahr. She has also gained experience in working in the biggest cooperate sector for a tenure of eight months, in GE Capital International Services, Gurgaon. She has teaching Experience of about three years in as a teacher in St Margaret's Convent, Shillong and as a Lecturer in Institute of Applied Medicine and Research, Ghaziabad.
