Wilmington, N.C. - Cape Fear Community College men's soccer player, Matt Debnam, signed a National Letter of Intent to play at Lees-McRae College, an NCAA Division II school that competes in the Carolinas-Virginia Athletic Conference.
As a two-year starter, Debnam was an anchor for the Sea Devil defense. He was named CFCC's most improved player in 2003 before being named captain of the 2004 squad.
Debnam will graduate from CFCC this spring before heading to Banner Elk, N.C., to join the Bobcat squad. While at Lees-McRae Debnam will pursue a business degree.
"Matt will provide leadership and has a great work ethic to contribute to the team," stated Sea Devils Head Men's Soccer Coach Robert McGee.
