Following a tip off about the presence of insurgent transit point at Moreh town near Lokchao bridge on the National Highway 39 in Manipur's Chandel district bordering Myanmar, the troops of the Assam Rifles cordoned off the entire area and launched search operations in the past three days. The underground, however, managed to their good escape and fled to across the border but one .303 rifle, besides seven pairs of uniforms, two jungle boots and some medicines were recovered from the hideout, a defence wing press statement said on Thursday.
