   Christine Real de Azua joined the American Wind Energy Association in 1999.She is the association's assistant director for communications.Christine works on media and stakeholder outreach to increase the general public and decision-makers' awareness of, and interest in, wind energy.Prior to joining AWEA, Christine launched and directed Accounting for the Environment, a non-profit policy and advocacy project.She also has extensive editorial experience, including working as assistant editor for World Press Review magazine and One World, an international publication on development issues carried by major dailies in several countries.
